At the San Diego Zoo

Books are magical and so is Winter Camp at the Zoo. Fun pieces of children's literature will set the stage for each day's focus. Animal adventures, drawing, crafts, music, storytelling, cooking, and behind-the-scenes adventures are included. Choose as many days as you like!

Winter Camp is for students in grades K–5. Classes run 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Select from the classes below:

Monday, December 22: Step your two legs into the world of six- and eight-legged creatures! Expect the fun to "creep" up on you.

Tuesday, December 23: Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin! Are wolves and other predators real animal villains? Are pigs as innocent as they look? Come and find out!

Monday, December 29: Hungry animals mean business when it's time to eat! This class is a feast of fun and food. Expect to watch our critters eat, feed some of them, and fill your own belly.

Tuesday, December 30: "Once upon a time" is just the beginning of this day's tales. Plants and animals need each other. Get caught up in the amazing web of life!
