Pumpkins at the Park

Pumpkins at the Park transforms the Wild Animal Park into a safe, family friendly Halloween adventure! Take part in the Trick-or-Treating Scavenger Hunt, learn about animals of the past at the Extinct Animal Graveyard, enjoy some Eerie Entertainment, watch pumpkin decorating and scarecrow stuffing demonstrations, take part in the Conservation Cupcake Walk and our Costume Contest, and keep a lookout for some Spooky Animal Encounters. There will also be animal enrichment sessions throughout each day for our gorillas and Lion Camp residents.

Trick-or-Treating Scavenger Hunt (all day)

Pick up your Pumpkins at the Park map insert with information on the daily activities and the Trick-or-Treating Scavenger Hunt questions.

Costume Contest (noon)

Little ghouls and goblins are encouraged to wear their costumes to the Costume Contest, where some fabulous prizes will be awarded to different age groups. Compete for some wonderful prizes in the following age categories:

Ages 0–6

Ages 7–12

Ages13–17

Creepy Crafts (9 a.m.–4 p.m.)

Take part in kooky decorating, and make portly pumpkins, Halloween piñatas, and spooky bracelets at different locations around the Park. Check your map insert for details.

Pumpkins at the ParkEerie Entertainment in Discovery Station

Get your fortune told, hear some spooky stories, and sing some creepy songs at the Park's Discovery Station. Fortune-telling in the straw bale house at 1 and 3 p.m.; storytelling and sing-along at 2 and 3 p.m.

Extinct Animal Graveyard (all day)

Stop by the Extinct Animal Graveyard and learn about the animals that once roamed the Earth.

Pumpkin Decorating Demonstration (10 a.m.)

Watch a plain orange squash turn into a glorious jack-o-lantern!

Scarecrow Stuffing Demonstration (11 a.m.)

What do you feed a scarecrow? Lots of hay!

Halloween Bites

Enjoy some of your favorite treats and beverages with a Halloween twist throughout the Wild Animal Park. Pick up kid’s ice cream cones with black and orange sprinkles, green slime ICEEs, cotton candy in Halloween colors, orange muffins and donuts, and much more!

Conservation Cupcake Walk (1:30 p.m.)

All guests ages 17 years and younger may dress in their favorite Halloween costume and must follow these guidelines:
